The people of Uganda put National Medical Stores (NMS) in place through an Act of Parliament and gave it a three-fold mandate: to Procure, Warehouse and Distribute Essential Medicines and Medical Supplies, primarily to Government health facilities.
Under a Three-year contract with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) ICS is procuring, installing and commissioning a state-of-the-art Data Centers based on EMC-Dell Solution. One Data Center in the Headquarters facility, and the other in the Data Recovery Center. This effort includes training of the NMS administrators together with supporting peripherals of Laptops, Desktops, Printers, and Zebra Scanners. The system will be functional through an HPE-Aruba Campus Network Communications and Storage Equipment Network, Switches, Wireless and Virtualization Software. The complete system will be completed by early 2022.

ICS was the subcontractor to JSI that was responsible to deliver, install, and configure the servers and computers to establish a central Data Center, and to distribute computers and other equipment to over 420 healthcare facilities country wide. ICS also provided local maintenance and support for the servers and desktops for 3 years. The equipment provided by ICS included: Dell Servers, Desktops and Laptops, Netgear Ready data Storage Systems, Juniper Firewall, Bar Code Scanners and Label Printers RICOH Multifunctional copier/printer, HP Color Printers. The in-country services included warehousing, systems configuration, installation and equipment distribution.
Tanzania TZ21 School Project

ICS is the subcontractor to Creative Associates to provide the IT and Solar equipment together with its associated services to 1000 schools in several cities and towns in Zanzibar and Mtwara Regions in Tanzania. The IT equipment consist mainly of over 5,000 Classmates, Desktops, together with Printers, Scanners, Routers, Switches, LCD Projector (data show) , and the Solar equipment consist mainly of solar panels, batteries, invertors, chargers and capacitors. In addition to the procurement of IT and Solar systems, ICS performed phase I of the associated services that consisted of providing the following services; Comprehensive Project Management from source to final location, Warehousing and distribution of Equipment to the satellite warehouse and to the schools, Technical training on Solar and ICT, Imaging of Classmates, Servers, Access Points and Routers and provide installation plans and schedules to install the ICT and Solar Systems.

Technology for Improved Learning Outcomes Project Phase 1 & II

Creative Associates awarded ICS the contract to provide IT equipment together with its associated services to over 400 schools in eight government districts in Egypt. The IT equipment consist mainly of over 4,500 Desktops, 500 Laptops together with Printers, Scanners, Routers, Switches, LCD Projector (data show) , Access Points, Power over Ethernet Adaptor Kit, UPS’s, cabling, tools, etc., together with associated services consists of providing the following services: Survey the existing sites for 400 schools all over Egypt and provide input for the installation teams, Install the Electrical and Data Network for two different types of schools; TSS schools with 15 PCs Lab, and SBR schools with 9 PCs Lab, distribute and deliver and install all the IT equipment including the configuration of Image Software and configuration of local area network. ICS developed training manuals and provided training to 800 trainees, and provided helpdesk services for 36 months through a Web-based tracking system, telephone hotlines and emails.

ICS was awarded the contract to provide over computers, printers, projectors, security systems, Motorola radios, copiers and Satellite phones together with other related equipment under a contract valued over $20 Million. ICS has successfully completed this turnkey project including maintenance, and operational support for the need of the US Army in Iraq. Over 6000 computers were shipped along with several hundred printers, projectors, copiers, and communication equipment. ICS employed major logistical companies including DHL and Federal Express and provided warehousing services for the IT equipment and performed the deliveries to the US Army and to the Iraqi Army colleges and other facilities. Over 20,000 logistical records comprising over 400 Airway Bills from the USA, Europe and the Middle East were delivered.
Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (MoLSA)
The Multi National Corps (MNC-I) a division of the U.S. Army in Iraq awarded ICS Technologies, Inc. of McLean, VA, a $1.3 million contract to procure, and install IT H/W, S/W, and VSAT Bandwidth and provide basic operation and maintenance training to MoLSA computer lab technical support personnel at each employment center. The purpose of this one year contract is to provide IT laboratory infrastructure to facilitate eleven sites and the training necessary to operate and maintain the system. The infrastructure will encompass both the hardware (PCs, servers, switches, cabling, network sockets, access points, etc.) and the software (operating systems and applications) together with VSAT and bandwidth joining all sites within one Wide Area Network to support a fully functional technical training environment.

ICS has been awarded the contract to change the IT platform for the Ministry of Higher Education in Kurdistan/Iraq to Dell Platform. ICS is providing now Dell equipment to higher education institutions of Kurdistan region of Iraq. These include but are not limited to 200,000 students and over 5,000 faculty and staff. To this day, ICS Iraq has established 5 (five) Dell Service Centers throughout the region. The centers’ purpose is to service, provide maintenance and warranty to Dell and other equipment provided under this project. The high quality and the extent of these centers demonstrate ICS’s commitments and seriousness of intentions in Kurdistan and Iraq in general.

AGOSD was established as an independent utility in 1979 to provide Wastewater services to an estimated 2.4 million residents of Alexandria, Egypt. AGOSD services their customer through a collection of Sewage networks, Pump stations and two Wastewater treatment plants located on the East and West side of the city. ICS and AGOSD developed a Master Plan addressing various computerization needs to upgrade its existing system capabilities through a USAID funded project for Institutional Support and Policy Reform. Computerization and Networking of the University of Mali

The general objective of this contract was to create a connection of the University of Mali to the Internet to provide teachers, researchers and students of the University of Mali with on-site Internet access, via wireless links to the national Internet gateway operated by the Société des Telecommunications du Mali (SOTELMA), through networked computers in each of the University’s institutions, thereby linking the University to the Global Information Infrastructure.
The General Organization For Greater Cairo Water Supply (GOGCWS)

ICS was awarded a two-phase contract from Black and Veatch/ Consultant for GOGCWS financed by the U.S. Agency for International Development to introduce decentralized computer systems into the GOGCWS. The first phase consisted of a system that was used primarily for general office automation tasks, such as word processing, cost tracking, preparation of financial reports, maintenance management, inventory control and training; and the second phase of the project was to implement a Windows Based Customer Information and Billing System to be localized in Arabic language, which also included Financial/Administrative integrated packages: personnel, payroll, inventory control, general ledger and fixed assets.

A $58million funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development. ICS was one of the main subcontractors to Chemonics on this project; this project was based on using Information and Communications Technology (ICT) including hardware, software, and back-office automation for Jordan’s institutions.
Armenia Social Transition Project

The purpose of the social transition program is, in the short term, to meet the immediate social and health care needs of the most vulnerable, while establishing the basis in the longer term for sustainable and effective social insurance care systems. USAID has defined social insurance systems to include unemployment, disability, and health and pension systems. As a subcontractor to American Manufacturers Export Group (AMEG), was responsible for commodity procurement and movement of household effects.

Al-Balqa’ Applied University- Upgrading And Developing Community Colleges

The main objective of this project was to establish state-of-the-art laboratories for the Al Balqa’ Applied University in Jordan. Al-Balqa’ Applied University is a governmental university established by a Royal Decree. The university serves the Jordanian community in particular and the Arab community in general by providing national standards and learning programs at the applied university and college levels in vocational, technical and applied academic fields to meet the nation’s economic needs. ICS was responsible for the design, procurement, installation, commissioning and training for Central Production Laboratories Contract, Electrical and Electronic Laboratory and Pneumatics, Hydraulics and Instrumentations.

The Development of Technical Colleges for the Palestinian Authority

This project was financed by the Italian Government, the purpose of this project is provide technical assistance to the main three Technical colleges in the West Bank colleges which are Al Aroub College, Tulkarem College and Ramallah College, these colleges were established long time ago and so there was an urgent need to upgrade their systems and provide them with most recent technologies. ICS job was providing the information technology equipment, tools and technical assistance, this was accomplished through three sub contracts.
Gore-Chernomyrdin Commission Energy Policy Committee
Due to unique expertise in identification of the most cost efficient products, ICS Technologies, Inc. has been awarded procurement and system integration contracts for a total value of over US $9,000,000.
This program was launched by VP Gore and consisted of 45 small contracts. ICS was awarded 15 of these contracts. These projects were located in ten different cities in Russia. ICS had to mobilize the personnel in Russia and associated itself with Sun Computer Systems, Digital Corporation, Silicon Graphics, Varian Corporation of Palo Alto California, and Geophysical Data Systems of Moscow. At the same time ICS established its office in Moscow, Russia. This office provided in country support for ICS to manage all contracts in Russia.

The laboratories included the provision of several equipment and instrumentation including servers, computers, printers, gas chromatographs, spectrometers, spare parts, etc. ICS installed the instrumentation, commission and train end-user staff. ICS also provided after sales service for the next two years.
